Active Reader / TermsEffective 9 October 2026

Active Reader terms.

These product-specific terms apply when you use Active Reader and supplement the Synodic General Terms.

01 / Scope

Product-specific terms.

These terms apply to Active Reader together with the Synodic General Terms. The Active Reader Privacy Policy explains the product's data handling.

02 / Free use and optional Account linking

Core reading does not require an Account.

Core reading and accessibility functionality remains available without a Synodic Account. Optional Account linking uses a short-lived, single-use code created by an authenticated eligible Account. A link code is not a password and must not be used to access another person's membership or installation.

03 / Paid capabilities

Signed access fails closed.

Paid appearance capabilities require current server-authoritative eligibility and a valid signed entitlement. Capabilities may stop when the entitlement expires, an installation is disconnected or revoked, a membership ends, or an approved completed full refund ends the corresponding paid access. Membership billing is governed by the Membership Terms and Refund and Cancellation Policy.

04 / Local data and user control

Your reading state stays under your control.

Active Reader stores preferences and supported local reading state in browser-managed storage. Optional history can be disabled or cleared, and supported Account-linked access can be disconnected. Uninstalling Active Reader removes browser-managed extension storage according to the browser's behavior. Details and current retention periods are in the Active Reader Privacy Policy.

05 / Availability and responsible use

Use the product within its boundaries.

Browser restrictions, webpage behavior, product updates, experimental features, public seasonal availability, or service maintenance may affect how a feature works. Do not misuse Active Reader, bypass access controls, interfere with entitlement verification, or use another person's link code or credential.

06 / Consumer rights and contact

Your rights remain protected.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Contact support@synodichub.com for product support.
